Summer is here… can you even believe it?? I am headed out to Austin this weekend for the RISE conference and I could not be more excited! I have been a little burnt out recently and just feeling like I need a reset. The timing for this weekend of inspiration and motivation could not be better. I am so excited to make new friends, meet some business women I admire and relax. For my playlist this month I created a list of some of my favorite new songs and a few old ones that I always go back to. I can’t wait to listen to this on my travels this weekend. The title has nothing to do with it but its summer and watermelon popsicles are delicious so here you have it:
This past month I have been on a big summer burgers kick! There are so many delicious recipes out there. Here are my top three favorite recipes that my family and I are newly addicted to:
I had never made chicken burgers prior to this and let me just say these burgers will knock your socks off. They are spicy and sweet and just little heavenly patties of goodness. Best part? They are so quick and easy to make!
Hello healthy and filling dinner! These burgers are full of so much goodness! They are juicy and the salad topping makes the perfect combo. These were so good I could have eaten two the last time we made them!
I mean come on! Need I say more? These are freakin amazing and definitely need to be a staple in your summer mean plans.
You guys I need some movie recommendations. With two kids we never seem to make it to the movies anymore so on demand rentals are pretty much all we get. I feel like I always see previews for when movies are in theaters and think oh I want to watch that but can never find anything that looks interesting in the rentals section. The best movie we watched most recently was called Danny Collins. Never expected to love it as much as we did. Tell me what recent movies you are into!
I just finished reading Present Over Perfect by Shauna Niequist. What an inspiring book. I felt like she was talking directly to me! The book is about slowing down the daily hustle and returning to our roots. Shauna guides you through her journey of quitting over achieving and going back to the simple things in life that make us most happy. It is a great reminder about what is most important and I related to her story so much. I highly recommend any of Shauna’s books! Shauna also just started a podcast and I have loved every episode so far. She is great at interviewing and her guests have covered a wide range of topics. If you are into podcasts check it out because you will be hooked.
Lastly, have you heard of the app called Ibotta? I discovered this through a friend and it is awesome to get rebates on things like groceries, alcohol and other household items you regularly purchase. I started using it about 5 weeks ago and I have already earned a $20 gift card.
As always I love to hear what things you are into this month so let me know in the comments below!
